Maryland Robotics Center

Part of the Institute for Systems Research within the A. James Clark School of Engineering, the center’s goal is to advance and develop robotic technologies, research, and education. The center involves 25+ labs and 40+ faculty members across eight different departments.

The goal of the center is to focus on the development and advancement of various artificial intelligence-based technologies and capabilities. CARDS focuses on a variety of different projects involving search-and-rescue, robotics, and surveillance.

Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command’s premier test site on the Graces Quarter’s Peninsula supports various research activities regarding autonomy, robotics, and artificial intelligence.

 

 

UAS Unmanned Aircraft Systems Test Site

The University of Maryland UAS Test Site supports university, private, and government researchers in their efforts to advance UAS research and demonstrate operational capabilities. The ultimate goal of the site is to fuse UAS technology into the national airspace.

The CATT lab works to develop safe and efficient transportation systems alongside local, state, and national efforts in a variety of disciplines such as intelligent transportation systems, law enforcement, and defense. The lab employs innovative technology and visualization systems to accomplish its goals.
