About:

Aryya Gangopadhyay is a Professor in the Information Systems department at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Dr. Gangopadhyay is also the inaugural Director of the Center for Real-time Distributed Sensing and Autonomy at UMBC. His research interests include machine and deep learning intersecting with problems related to cybersecurity, resource-constrained systems, and smart and connected communities including smart health and smart cities. He has graduated 16 PhD students and has published over 125 peer-reviewed research articles. Dr. Gangopadhyay’s research has been supported by extramural awards from NSF, NIST, Department of Education, IBM, and ARL.
